FROM THE SENIOR REGENT

Thanks to all that worked our fireworks stand.  We certainly appreciate all the hard work for that successful lodge event.

Wow it’s August already.  Those hot summer days are upon us…enjoy.  And speaking of that don’t miss out on the lodge parking lot pool party.  More on that in a bit.

We lost a dearly loved brother last month – we are all sad but know he is watching over all of us.  Rick Harmor’s celebration of life will be August 3rd.  Please join us as we pay our respects.  Bring a dish to share.  Chicken will be provided.  This is a big loss and one that will never leave our hearts whole again. 

That lodge parking lot pool party will be August 17th.  Bring your blowup pool and enjoy cooling off and splashing around.  Water will be provided.  This starts at noon.

Our 4th weekend of August will be a busy one as there will be a comedy show on the 24th and the 25th will be brunch and bingo. 

Don’t miss out on this fun hot month.  And remember our wonderful bartenders have yummy food on certain days.   Karaoke is also a fun time.  Sing your little heart out (you know you want to)….

The Women of The Moose (WOTM) have a non-event this month too.  You may have heard about our bake less clam bake.  You’re thinking, what the heck is that?  It is a time where we are looking for donations for the Boys Athletic Program at Mooseheart.  These donations provide an opportunity the kids may not have had in the public schools.  Every boy can take an active part in the sports program offered at Mooseheart.  As we are all aware, involvement in sports teaches youth the value of good sportsmanship and respect for one’s self and others.  See myself or Rita Francis if you would like to donate….we certainly appreciate any monetary donations you can contribute.

To all the loyal moose brothers and sisters,

With a very sad heart the celebration of life for Rick Harmor will be held on August 3, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Please bring a dish to share.

Get ready for the Parking lot POOL PARTY in August. Bring your pool and your pool toys.  There will be duck races and goldfish races. Ok, so what are Goldfish races. Come out and join us and find out.  This will be a day of FUN & GAMES. This fun day will be happening on August 17th at Noon.

 There is a Comedy Show on August 24, 2024, at 8:00 p.m.  Susie will be making a Spaghetti dinner also that night.  It will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Be sure to come out and laugh a lot.

Youth Awareness Congress will be on August 31, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. if you have or know of a high school student who would like to get into the program to earn a scholarship please give me a call for more information.

Membership campaigns are created and implemented by the Membership Department at Moose International. Annual Membership Campaigns typically run from May 1 to April 30 and have a unique theme each year.

This year’s Annual Membership Campaign is “EMBRACE OUR COMMUNITY” which runs from May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025. Let’s build our future by reaching out to our members who have been out and getting new members to join! Together we can make our Lodge the friendliest place in town!
